I had a pleasant stay at Catina Saigon Hotel, which is situated right in the center of HCMC. The service was fantastic, and the breakfast was really good, offering a variety of choices. However, the room's old carpeting could use an update, and I was surprised by the high taxi booking charge.

Although the rooms are stylish and clean, I did notice an occasional odd odour in the public areas and some rooms, which was a bit off-putting. Nonetheless, the breakfast spread was decent, especially the Vietnamese hot noodle soups and delicious baguettes.
